collection THE GRAND DESIGN
The fabrics from THE GRAND DESIGN WALLCOVERING COLLECTION are easy-to-install double-height wallcoverings, applied with strings without gluing. The decorative patterns and themes created by the young artists of the KOHRO team coming from the best Italian art academies decline taste and know-how, inspired by an Italian cultural heritage that combines nature, art and design, craftsmanship, technology and high quality.
THE GRAND DESIGN is the result of research and a multiplicity of techniques – grisaille, tempera, stamps, pantograph, stencil and trompe oeil. It applies the European artistic and textile tradition of papier-mâché and tapestry to the contemporary technology of digital printing . The richness and exceptional polychromy of the printed design derive from the skilful use of the best and most advanced technologies allow the design previously created on paper by the artist Loris Drago in the workshop to be printed on fabrics. the extension is of more than forty meters and a height of three with bases in linen, cotton, silk or precious blends, sustainable in terms of process and raw materials.
“We design a scenography, and a home decoration at 360°. These fabrics are in fact panoptic, and applied in a continuum, thus giving the feeling of infinity and having different points of view”.
